When I make earrings, because I am often interrupted, I put rubber or plastic earwire safety nuts on the ends of the headpin.  This keeps the beads on the headpins and then they are already at hand when I put the headpin onto the earwire.   I can just put the safety nut on the earwire as I finish.

A Call for Halloween Artwork!  We're looking for artwork with a spooky Halloween theme to feature in the October 15th issue of Etcetera!  Young artists who submit their artwork will receive a "Halloween Fun Package" with lots of fun goodies! 

So what do you do? 

Scan your drawing into a .gif or .jpg format and send it to us as an email attachment.  When we receive your drawing, we'll send you a return email and let you know if we need anything else.  Please be sure to include your name, age and snail mail address.  We will only list your first name, age and state you live in on our web site. 

Don't have a scanner?  Send your drawing in snail mail to:
