• Here's a thought, did you ever want to use dark papers on cards but then were confused at how to get a message on that dark surface? Try a 'white-out' pen (Liquid Paper makes an excellent one) or one of those silver/gold metallic pens!

Easy to make
Valentine's Day Cards!
The two cards on the left are easy to make, with a few simple supplies listed below. (Feel free to deviate from the list, for example, a heart stamp isn't absolutely necessary!)
.

1. Get a small piece of sponge (about 1") wet.
2. Take your watercolor marker and gently rub it on the sponge to get the color on it.
3. Dab the sponge on the blank card - move quickly around the entire area of the card.
4. Repeat step #3 until the entire surface of the card is covered.
5.Use more than one color to achieve interesting effects. *Let the card dry before going to step #6.
6. Stamp or draw three hearts making sure to tilt them randomly.
7. Use markers, colored pencils, 3-D paint, etc. to draw the vines in and then add the leaves.
•Try these variations: Outline the hearts with in metallic pen or 3-D paint. Cut out wrapping paper or constrution paper hearts instead of stamping/drawing. Decorate the envelope!

Easy to make Valentine's Day Cards for Kids!
The two cards on the left are easy to make, with a few simple supplies listed below. (Feel free to deviate from the list, try colored paper from old magazines!)
1. Get all your materials together first.
2. Use your scissors to carefully cut out some different size paper hearts.
3. Try to use only a few colors so each card will be unified by the repeating colors!
4. PLAY with the hearts you cut out to see what designs or picutures you can create...Can you make a person out of hearts?
5. Once you have a design carefully glue down your hearts.
6. Use markers, colored pencils or crayons to add any smaller details (like the stem in example #1).
7. For example #2. I first drew a design on my paper using markers then added paper hearts cut from a magazine!

Try This! Cut out hearts from scraps of wrapping paper. Use the comic page of a newspaper for your hearts - very colorful! Can you make any part of your card pop up? Good luck and have fun playing!
