The idea of a spring clasp on a charm fits in with what I do with charms.  Instead of wearing charms on a charm bracelet or necklace I clip them to my watch.  My watch is rather plain but I attach charms to where the spring holding the band onto the watch is connected.  I wear up to four charms, one at each corner. I receive compliments on it wherever I go.

Wrapping Up Mother's Day!
So you have your gift for Mom and you want to wrap it up special right?  Why not create your own decorative bag!  Our bag idea works great if you're giving Mom a special plant or flower for her garden but is also delightful for any gift!

Materials:

Plain brown gift bag                Packages of flower seeds
Glue stick or tacky glue          Scissors (decorative edge if possible)
Ribbon
Paper hole punch or large needle
Stickers or
Rubber Stamps
Rubber cement (optional)
Begin by cutting the flower seed packages so only the front side is left.  Leave a few of the full cut out rectangles for the front and back of your bag.  From the rest of your seed packages, cut out some of the flower images.  Position and glue your seed packages and small flower images to your bag.

Using a paper punch, needles or other pointy object, carefully make two holes above each of the full seed packets.  String your ribbon through the holes so both ends are coming out through the front of the bag.  Tie your ribbons.

If you wish, you can add stickers or rubber stamp flower, heart or "Mom" images around your seed packages and flower images.  Make a matching note card using any extra images.

If your Mom likes to plant seeds, use real seeds on your bag!  Place one small "blob" of rubber cement on the back of the full seed packs and let dry.  Once the rubber cement is dry, position them onto your bag.  The rubber cement will allow the packages to be easily removed.
