I like to use shoulder pads to keep threaded needles for plastic canvas projects and other craft projects--my dog likes to shake the shoulder pads--of course without the needles!

Many, Many Kitties  by Suzanne Cooper  This project is a totally whimsical design called "Many Many Kitties!"  This is a great for those extra beads you have on hand... you know the ones.... not enough for a big project but too many to ignore!  I hope you will enjoy making it.  This project is done in Tubular Even Count Peyote Stitch.  If you are not familiar with this stitch you can find easy lessons in my Jump Start Classroom.  You will find several helpful lessons there as well as a diploma for you to print when you have mastered a stitch.

Jennie Might of Austin, Texax stitched the darling amulet purse in the
photo to the right. She used anondized aluminum beads on the fringe for even more WOW! Jennie is a very talented beader and you can visit her web site:  Jennie's Homepage.

Bubble Paper!  With some poster paint, kitchen soap and a straw, you're set to make some exciting paper!

Begin by using tempera paint or poster paint, add water to thin down the paint and add liquid soap.  Put the mixture in a bowl.  Put the end of a straw in the mixture and blow bubbles like you would in milk.  Make sure you blow out - don't breathe in!  You may want to practice in a cup of water first.  Once the paint mixture is bubbled up higher than the edge of the bowl, take white construction paper and carefully lower it down over the paint bubbles until it touches the edge of the bowl.  It can be done more than once to cover the whole page.

When you paper is dry, try cutting it into sizes to be used for folded note card stationary.  It really makes great cards, stationary, gift cards, invitations, etc.  Use your imagination!

Special thanks go to Donna M. Davis of Pleasant Valley, Connecticut
for sending in this bubbly idea!  Thank you Donna!
