Etcetera is a bi-monthly arts and crafts webzine, with a casual feel. Etcetera is sponsored by Eclectic Etc., Inc. Beads & Supplies by supplying the web space and a good percentage of the articles. We strive to keep this zine open to ANY and ALL art/craft topics...afterall, variety is the spice of life! Please note that this webzine cannot exist without submissions from people just like you!

General Guidelines for Submission:
You can submit ideas any way that is easiest for you...

1. You can email ideas in just plain text. Any images (photos or drawings) that you'd like to include can be sent as an attachment. GIF or JPG files are best and please don't worry about the size...we'll deal with that on our end.

2. You can send in your ideas via snail mail. All text will be typed in and any photos or drawings will be scanned and included. Because we will directly scan your drawings if you include any, please make sure that they are done in black pen on white paper. If the images are color, they will be scanned in color. Maximum size for images sent should be 8.5X11".

1. Etcetera has 3 sections:

• "Tips and Tricks" can just be little blurbs of advice on materials, storage, anything really.

• "Special Feature" can be a project, a new way of using materials, a featured artist...

but more in depth than the 'Tips and Tricks" section.

• "Kids Korner" features ideas for children of all ages (including grown up ones ;).

Basically, getting off the coloring book into more "thinking" or exploritory

projects is our goal. Projects are great, but even ideas like: "If you were

to design a car of the future, what would it look like?" is great also!!!

Here's an idea...ask your kids to contribute!

2. A note on the writing part... So you aren't a writer?!? Does it matter to us? Nope! Don't worry if you have never done anything other than personal letters...writing is writing and we can work with whatever you send us. As long as we are on the subject...we will rewrite and edit as we feel necessary any submissions for Etcetera.

3. Any ideas you give us for any part of the Webzine, as well as photographs or illustrations remain your property. The copyright notice (found at the bottom of every page) simply extends to protect you. We expect all ideas to be original, we are not responsible for copyright violations you may infringe upon.

4. Payment for submission of ideas by individuals is a $5 Gift Certificate to Eclectic Etc., Inc. for all Special Feature or Kid's Korner articles (this doesn't include drawings submitted to the Kid's Korner). Teachers who submit ideas can request a goody bag of beads for their students instead!

5. Payment for businesses and those with their own sites: On the top of the issue your article appears in, you can provide us (or we can make one) a banner/graphic to advertise your site with. For the two weeks your article runs, the advertisement will appear on the main index page of Etcetera and remain on the specific issue indefinately.

Specific Information for Submitting to the

1. Who should submit to the Kid's Korner? Anyone! We are always looking for new ideas to share with kids around the globe. Ideas can be tailored for the very young or older teens.

2. Submitting a drawing done by a kid under 18 is very simple.

- Or send your image via email by attaching a .jpg or .gif file.

3. Payment for submission of ideas by individuals is a $5 Gift Certificate to Eclectic Etc., Inc. Kid's Korner articles (excluding just drawings submitted to the Kid's Korner). Teachers who submit ideas can request a goody bag of beads for their students instead! Children who send in drawings will receive a sheet of stickers as a thank you.

4. Include with your drawing the artists name, age, grade in school, city, state/province and country. Please note we will ONLY include what you want us to when we publish your drawing in Etcetera. If you mail in a drawing, please include a full address so we can return the drawing to you along with your stickers... just let us know what we may publish!
