eebeads.com was launched on December 6th, 1996 as an online bead and jewelry supply store. The idea to open an online store came about because Carolyn, (aka The Head Bead) had been making jewelry for years and was frustrated that most supplies came in large package quantities and therefore it was not very affordable to buy a large variety of supplies. We were the first online bead retailer to offer small package quantities at the same price as large quantities.

eebeads.com is a privately owned company and is the concept and dream of Carolyn and Allen. Carolyn is the right brained, artistic intellect of eebeads and Allen is the left brained, technical guru. Together they designed the website with the latest high tech, but customer friendly features.

Our first office was the corner of The Head Bead's apartment. By March of 1997, the business had grown so fast that it was necessary to move to the first real office. eebeads.com now encompasses a 4,400 square foot warehouse that holds not only all the beads and supplies, but our customer service, packaging and shipping departments.

eebeads.com is a "tree hugging" company and we use recycled products whenever possible. We also buy all of our energy through emission free wind generators. These are just a couple of examples of our efforts to help out the environment, see more here.
