What are Eye pins Used For?
Eye pins are a great finding for all sorts of jewelry applications, but the two most common are demonstrated here.  The first will be to link sections together to make a bracelet or necklace, the second is to use with earrings.

Making a Bracelet or Necklace:
Onto an eye pin, first place your bead or beads.  Using a wire cutter, cut off the excess eye pin leaving approximately 3/16". Using a flat nose pliers, bend the 3/16" piece of wire 90°. Carefully bend the 3/16" piece of wire into a loop, and close it tight.  Make as many of these link pieces as you will need for the project.

Next, open a jump ring and insert two of your link pieces you made above.  Continue to open jump rings and add them to you piece of jewelry until you have the desired length.

Making Earrings with Drops:
Open a jump ring and insert your eye pin and charm onto the jump ring.  Close the jump ring tightly.  Onto an eye pin, place your bead or beads.  Using a wire cutter, cut off the excess eye pin leaving approximately 3/16". Using a flat nose pliers, bend the 3/16" piece of wire 90°. Carefully bend the 3/16" piece of wire into a loop, and close it tight.  Insert your ear wire and repeat for the second earring.
