Ann's
Victorian Necklace
This necklace was inspired by a lovely young
woman named Ann, whose birthday is in July. Any birthstone crystal
can be substituted for the ruby. The only additional materials you
will need to make the earrings are listed below. You will have enough
beads left over from the necklace for your earrings.

Directions for the Necklace:
1. Cut 18 inches of Soft Flex
2. String Soft Flex through 1 crimp bead, then
through toggle and then back through the crimp bead. Snug up crimp
bead to toggle.
3. Crush crimp bead with crimping pliers.
Cut off excess Soft Flex.
4. String necklace in following pattern:
Pudgy spacer, 2mm round bead, heishi, 3mm ruby
crystal, 2mm round, pudgy, 2mm round, 3mm ruby crystal, Bali spacer,
3 mm clear crystal, 2mm round, 3mm ruby crystal, 2mm round, 3mm clear
crystal, Bali, 5mm ruby crystal, Bali, 3mm clear crystal, 2mm round,
pudgy, 2mm round, 3mm clear crystal, Bali, 3mm ruby crystal, 2mm round,
3mm clear crystal, 2mm round, 3mm ruby crystal, Bali, 5 mm clear crystal,
Bali, 3mm ruby, 2mm round, pudgy, 2mm round, 3 mm ruby crystal, Bali,

of the necklace.
5. After the last pudgy spacer is strung, thread
Soft Flex through the crimp bead then through the toggle and back through
the crimp bead. Snug up crimp bead to toggle.
6. Crush the crimp bead with crimping pliers
and cut off excess Soft Flex and enjoy your new necklace.
Directions
for earrings:
1. Carefully straighten the head pin if necessary.
2. Place beads on head pin in the following order:
2mm round, heishi, 5mm ruby crystal, heishi,
3mm clear crystal, heishi, 3mm ruby crystal.
3. Trim off the excess wire with the side
cutters, leaving about 3/8" of wire.
4. Bend the extra wire 90 degrees to the side
with the flat nose pliers.
5. With the round nose pliers, bend the
wire to form a loop. Stop before you get to your beads.
6. Insert your ear wire into the loop.
7. Finish bending the wire into a full loop.
The wire should bend all the way down to the beads.
