Button Choker What young lady would not want this
sweet choker. It is easy to make with our Czech fire polished crystals
and ceramic flower buttons. We have made it in blue and red, but
there are many other buttons to choose from. Just choose the buttons
you like and match up the crystals for the choker you will love.
Directions: Please note that the crystals may be somewhat
hard to slide on the Genya, but they will slide with some persuasion.
Step 1. Start
stringing the beads on to the Genya before you cut it in the following
pattern:
1 Siam crystal, 1cobalt crystal, 1 hogan, 1 cobalt
crystal, 1 Siam crystal, 1 button.
Step 2.
String 1 Siam crystal, 1 hogan, 1 Siam crystal and 1 button. Repeat
this pattern one more time.
Step 3.
Repeat the pattern in Step 1, leaving off the button.
Step 4.
You will want to measure your neck to be sure that the choker fits snugly
or the weight of the buttons will make it flop forward. You need
to measure exactly.
Step 5.
Slide the Crimp Hook onto the Genya and squeeze the center ring with a
pair of flat nose pliers. Cut off excess.
Step 6.
Making sure the beads are centered on the choker, cut the Genya to fit
your neck, leaving an extension of approximately 3 inches.
Step 7.
Now slide the loop end of the crimp hook onto the Genya to the measurement
of your neck, remembering to consider the hook and eye clasp as part of
your measurement, and squeeze the center ring of the clasp. The extension
will continue through the clasp.
Step 8.
Onto the extension of Genya, string 1 Siam crystal, 1 cobalt crystal. 1
hogan, 1 cobalt crystal, and 1 Siam crystal. Knot the end of the
Genya and place a small drop of glue. if you want, to secure the knot.
