Free Form Hair Pin

You can make this using just about any beads you like and the design is totally up to you! The beads we have used are our kaleidoscope ovals and our shimmer discs and tubes. You will need a hammer for this project.

Materials:
1 Pkg. Teal Shimmer Tubes (#18215) Qty:
1 Pkg. Cobalt Shimmer Discs (#18220) Qty:
1 Pkg. Kaleidoscope Ovals (#18844) Qty:
1 Pkg. Silver Plated Wire, 18 gauge (#49070) Qty:
Tools you will need (change quantity to 1 if you need them):
Side Cutter (#51003) Qty:
Hammer

Directions:
Step 1. Cut the desired length of Wire. We used approximately 20 inches.
Step 2. Place your beads on the wire in any manner you like starting at least 6 inches up the wire. Bend the wire before and after each bead as you add them. Twist the wire in a free form manner, making loops and curves. This is done more easily by hand than with a tool. When you are finished adding the beads, bend the wire so that the other end is hanging down even with the first part of the wire. You may need to cut one or the other so that they are even (see picture).
Step 3. Place the ends of the wire without beads on a concrete surface (like a basement floor, garage floor or side walk) and with your hammer hit the wire to flatten and harden the wire. Enjoy!
