Directions:
This necklace uses the pastel Furnace Glass beads alternating with
the jewel toned frosted cube Czech beads. These are separated by 3 size
4mm clear glass Czech beads. Knots are placed between each 4mm bead and
the cubic beads. If the hole in the furnace bead is too large, just add
another 4mm bead for spacing and let the furnace bead slide over the 4mm
beads for an interesting affect. There is no clasp. To finish, I remember
not to put a knot between the first two
beads.
After knotting between the second to last and final bead, I pull the thread
back through the first bead and then tie the ends of the thread between
the first and second bead. I set the two end knots with glue and then snip
the loose thread ends. I have a nice spring loaded tool which helps snug
the knots up against each bead. I used silk thread and a medium weight
wire beading needle. Remember to include enough thread for the knots, about
75 inches doubled, or 150 inches total. Can't be bothered with knots? Don't
worry, you can make this without knots and still have a beautiful necklace.
