Crystal Fringe Necklace
This necklace is just full of sparkle! It gives off such
a tasteful look that it alone will dress up your favorite outfit.
You will love the way the bead covered head pins give the appearance of
a fringe or trim. The finished length is approximately 15”.
This necklace is meant to be smaller so that the “fringe” will lie nicely
on the collarbone. Any of our Swarovski crystal colors could be substituted
for the light amethyst.

Directions:
Step 1. Onto each of 12 Head Pins, place
a 5mm Amethyst Crystal, a Liquid Twist, a Clear AB Bicone Crystal, a Liquid
Twist, a 4mm Amethyst Crystal, and a Liquid Twist. We will name these
Head Pins, #1.
Step 2. For each of the Head Pins, using
Flat Nose Pliers, bend the excess wire 90°. Make a loop with
the excess wire using Round Nose Pliers, and close tightly. Set aside.
Step 3. Onto each of 6 Head Pins, place
a Clear AB Round Crystal, a Liquid Twist, a Pearl, a Liquid Twist, a Clear
AB Round Crystal, and a Liquid Twist. We will name these Head Pins,
#2.
Step 4. Repeat Step 2.
Step 5. Now we will begin stringing beads
onto the SoftFlex. Cut a strand of SoftFlex about 19” long.
Step 6. String wire through 1 Crimp Bead,
through the loop of the bar end of the Toggle Clasp and then back through
the Crimp Bead. Pull tightly to secure the Crimp next to the Clasp,
and then crush the Crimp Bead with crimping pliers. Cut off excess
wire.
Step 7. Place a Crimp Cover over the crushed
Crimp Bead and close the Cover over the Crimp Bead using Flat Nose Pliers.
Step 8. String 5 Pony Beads and 1 Clear
AB Round Crystal. Repeat 3 times, ending with 5 Pony Beads.
Step 9. String the following beads:
1 Pearl
1 Crystal Rondelle
1 Clear AB Crystal Bicone
1 Crystal Rondelle
1 Pearl
5 Pony Beads
1 Pearl
One 5mm Amethyst Crystal
1 Liquid Twist
One 5mm Amethyst Crystal
3 Pony Beads
1 Pearl
Step 10. String a Head Pin #1, a Head Pin
#2, and a Head Pin #1.
Step 11. String a Pearl, a Crystal Rondelle,
and a Clear AB Crystal Bicone. Repeat Step 10.
Step 12. String a Clear AB Crystal Bicone,
a Rondelle, and a Pearl. Repeat Step 10.
Step 13. Repeat Step 11.
Step 14. Repeat Step 12.
Step 15. Repeat Step 11.
Step 16. String a Clear AB Crystal Bicone,
a Crystal Rondelle, and a Pearl.
Step 17. String the following beads:
3 Pony Beads
One 5mm Amethyst Crystal
1 Liquid Twist
One 5mm Amethyst Crystal
1 Pearl
5 Pony Beads
1 Pearl
1 Crystal Rondelle
1 Clear AB Crystal Bicone
1 Crystal Rondelle
1 Pearl
Step 18. Repeat Step 8.
Step 19. Repeat Step 6 using the Heart
end of the Toggle Clasp, making sure that you place the SoftFlex through
the point of the Heart.
Step 20. Repeat Step 7.
Step 21. Now go back to the “Fringe” and
bend each of the Head Pins slightly to create a somewhat “messy fringe”
(see picture). Enjoy!
