Directions:
Step 1: Cut 3 strands of Soft Flex: each 21” long. (Note: Though you are cutting equal strands of Soft Flex, the amount of beads that you will put on each will decrease with each strand so that the finished strands fall as pictured.)
Step 2:
Strand 1 (the longest strand)
1. Place a Bead Stopper on the end of the strand, leaving about an inch and a half of excess, so that you have room to work and an easier time putting your Clasp on.
2. String 23 Light Blue Seed Beads
3. String 1 Pony Bead, 1 Silver Plated Round, 1 Aquamarine Crystal, 1 Silver Plated Round, and 1 Pony Bead
4. String the following:
10 Light Blue Seed Beads
1 Silver Plated Round
1 Clear AB Crystal
1 Silver Plated Round
10 Light Blue Seed Beads
1 Pony Bead
1 Silver Plated Round
1 Aquamarine Crystal
1 Silver Plated Round
1 Pony Bead
5. Repeat Number 4 six times.
6. String 23 Light Blue Seed Beads.
7. Place a Bead Stopper on the end of the strand and set aside.
Step 3.
Strand 2 (the middle strand)
1. Place a Bead Stopper on the end of the strand in the same manner as with Strand 1.
Note: the following directions for this strand are as it was done here, at eebeads. Since you are using a Miyuki Mix, the sizes and shapes of the beads differ. You will want to randomly choose the beads from the Miyuki Mix, to string, that will give your necklace good balance. E.g. if you use all smaller beads from the Mix, this strand will come out shorter than it needs to, so be sure to mix them up. This strand should come out about ¾ of an inch shorter than Strand 1.
2. String the following:
3 White/Crystal Miyuki Mix Beads
5 Light Blue Seed Beads
1 Clear AB 3mm Crystal
5 Light Blue Seed Beads
3. String the following:
5 White/Crystal Miyuki Mix Beads
5 Light Blue Seed Beads
1 Clear AB 3mm Crystal
5 Light Blue Seed Beads
4. Repeat Step 3 eight times
5. String 3 White/Crystal Miyuki Mix Beads
6. Place a Bead Stopper on the end of the strand and set aside.
Step 4.
Strand 3 (the shortest strand) Note: this strand will be about ¾ of an inch shorter than Strand 2.
1. Place a Bead Stopper on the end of the strand in the same manner as with Strands 1 and 2.
2. String the following:
10 White/Crystal Miyuki Mix Beads
1 Aquamarine Crystal
3. Repeat Number 2 eight times
4. String 10 White/Crystal Miyuki Mix Beads
Step 5.
1. Take the Bead Stoppers off the ends of one side of the necklace.
2. Gather all three ends together and string them though one Large Crimp Bead, through the loop of one end of the Clasp, then back through the Crimp Bead. Crush the Crimp.
Step 6. Repeat Step 5 with the other side of the necklace.
