Strawberry Rose Necklace
Love is in the air!  Valentine’s Day is coming and we made the perfect necklace just right for you.  The diverse pinks and reds look great together with our heart toggle clasp as a finishing touch.  The finished length of the necklace is approximately 17”, but you can make it longer or shorter by adding or taking off Seed Beads from the ends.  You will have left over beads and findings, so you could even make a bracelet to match!

Directions:
Note:  When making this necklace, you should be conscientious of the balance of the 3 Strands, especially when using the Bali 3 Hole Spacer Bars.  Since the Miyuki Mix has a variety of different sized beads within it, you need to be sure that the Strand containing the Miyuki Mix does not end up being shorter or longer, in places, than the Strands with the Pink Seed Beads.  All you need to do is hold the strands up, together occasionally, (especially after placing the Bali 3 Hole Spacer Bars) and be sure that everything is evening out correctly.  If not, just simply add or take off Seed Beads.

Directions:
Step 1.  Cut 3 strands of Soft Flex, each about 20” long.
Step 2.  Onto the first strand, which we will call Strand 1, string approximately 1 ¼” of Pink Seed Beads (about 25 Seed Beads).  Set aside.
Step 3.  Onto the second strand, which we will call Strand 2, string approximately 1 ¼” of the Miyuki Mix Seed Beads (because this is a mix and all the beads are different sizes, we cannot give a true estimate of how many beads to string).  Set aside.
Step 4.  Onto the third strand, which we will call Strand 3, string approximately 1 ¼” of Pink Seed Beads (about 25 Seed Beads).  Set aside.
Step 5.  Group the 3 strands together and place a Bead Stopper on the end.
Step 6.  Onto Strand 1, place a Round Rose Crystal.
Step 7.  Repeat Step 6 for Strand 2.
Step 8.  Repeat Step 6 for Strand 3.
Step 9.  Place a Bali 3 Hole Spacer Bar onto the 3 strands. Be sure to place Strand 1 into the corresponding hole in the spacer bar and do the same for Strand 2 and Strand 3.
Step 10.  Repeat Steps 6, 7, and 8.
Step 11.  Onto Strand 1, string 15 Pink Seed Beads, which is just short of an inch.
Step 12.  Onto Strand 2, string the same amount (length wise) of Miyuki Mix Seed Beads as you did Pink Seed Beads in Step 11 (just short of an inch).
Step 13.  Repeat Step 11 for Strand 3.
Step 14.  Take one of your small Heart Beads (choose the color of your preference) and place all three strands through the hole of the Heart Bead, trying to keep your strands in line, or in order, so that parts of the necklace do not twist around (we found that the easiest way to do this was to place each strand through individually).  Also, note that we strung the Heart Bead on with the bottom, pointed end face down, so that the beads that you will string in the next steps will meet the pointed end of the Heart Bead.
Step 15.  Onto Strand 1, string approximately 2 ¼” of Pink Seed Beads (which came out to approximately 38 Seed Beads).
Step 16.  Onto Strand 2, string approximately 2 ¼” of the Miyuki Mix Seed Beads.
Step 17.  Repeat Step 15 with Strand 3.
Step 18.  Repeat Steps 6, 7, and 8, but use the Indian Pink Crystal Bicones.
Step 19.  Repeat Step 9.
Step 20.  Repeat Step 18.
(Note: Remember to hold your necklace up and make sure the beaded strands are lying well together).
Step 21.  Onto Strands 1, 2, and 3, place 15 Pink Seed Beads.
Step 22.  Take all 3 strands and string them through a Rose Crystal Pendant.  Again, remember to try to keep your strands in line, or in order, so that parts of the necklace do not twist around.  The best way to do this is to put each strand through the Pendant individually.
Step 23.  Onto Strands 1, 2, and 3, string 20 Pink Seed Beads.
Step 24.  Repeat Step 22.
Step 25.  Repeat Step 23.
Step 26.  Repeat Step 22.
Step 27.  Onto all 3 strands, string 15 Pink Seed Beads.
Step 28.  Repeat Step 18.
Step 29.  Repeat Step 9.
Step 30.  Repeat Step 18.
Step 31.  Repeat Step 15.
Step 32.  Repeat Step 16.
Step 33.  Repeat Step 17.
Step 34. String one of your small Heart Beads through all three strands (again, try to keep your strands in line).  Also, note that this Heart Bead will face the same way as the Heart Bead that you already strung, but since you are working with the opposite side of the necklace, the pointed end will face the beads that are already strung on the 3 strands.
Step 35.  Repeat Steps 11, 12, and 13.
Step 36.  Repeat Steps 6, 7, and 8.
Step 37.  Repeat Step 9.
Step 38.  Repeat Steps 6, 7, and 8.
Step 39. Onto Strand 1, string approximately 1 ¼” of Pink Seed Beads (about 25 Seed Beads).
Step 40.  Onto Strand 2, string approximately 1 ¼” of the Miyuki Mix Seed Beads (because this is a mix and all the beads are different sizes, we cannot give a true estimate of how many beads to string).
Step 41.  Onto Strand 3, string approximately 1 ¼” of Pink Seed Beads (about 25 Seed Beads).
Step 42.  Repeat Step 34.
Before you complete the following Steps, hold your necklace up, be sure that all three strands are even, and lay well, as desired.  You can always add or take off beads anywhere you would like before you start Crimping.
Step 43.  Take Strand 1, string it through a Crimp Bead, through the loop of one end of the Toggle Clasp, and back through the Crimp Bead. Crush the Crimp with Crimping Pliers. Trim the excess wire.
Step 44.  Repeat Step 43 for Strands 2 and 3.
Step 45.  Take the Bead Stopper off the other end of your necklace and repeat Step 43 for all 3 strands.
Finished!  Enjoy!
