Malachite and Jade Bracelet
Our bracelet for the week is bound to make your friends green with envy. It’s the perfect bracelet for St. Patrick’s Day and is a little more sophisticated than it is cute. Snatch up some of our malachite and new china jade gemstones, along with emerald and jet Swarovski crystal beads and put them together in this pretty bracelet. We have plenty of other colors in gemstone rounds and Swarovski crystal beads if you do not like the green.

Materials:

Directions:
Step 1. Onto a Head Pin, place a 4mm Malachite Round and an Emerald Crystal.
Step 2. Using Flat Nosed Pliers bend the Head Pin 90°. Using the Round Nosed Pliers carefully bend the wire into a loop, but don't close it tightly. Set aside.
Step 3. Repeat Step 1 and 2, in that order, 3 times.
* We will call these Head Pins A
Step 4. Onto a Head Pin, place a 4mm New China Jade Round and an Emerald Crystal.
Step 5. Repeat Step 2.
Step 6. Repeat Step 4.
Step 7. Repeat Step 2.
* We will call these Head Pins B.
Step 8. Onto a Head Pin, place a 6mm New China Jade Round, a Jet Crystal, and an Emerald Crystal.
Step 9. Repeat Step 2.
Step 10. Repeat Step 8, then Step 2, in that order, 3 times.
* We will call these Head Pins C.
Step 11. Onto a Head Pin, place a 6mm Malachite Round, an Emerald Crystal, and a 4mm New China Jade Round.
Step 12. Repeat Step 2.
Step 13. Repeat Step 11, then Step 2, in that order, 2 times.
* We will call these Head Pins D.
Step 14. Onto a Head Pin, place a 6mm Malachite Round, a Jet Crystal, and an Emerald Crystal.
Step 15. Repeat Step 2.
Step 16. Repeat Step 14, then Step 2, in that order, once.
* We will call these Head Pins E.
Step 17. Cut a strand of Soft Flex, approximately 12” long.
Step 18. String the following:
One 6mm Malachite
1 Bali Beaded Spacer
One 6mm New China Jade
1 Bali Beaded Spacer
One 6mm Malachite
1 Bali Beaded Spacer
One 6mm New China Jade
1 Bali Beaded Spacer
One 6mm Malachite
1 Bead Aligner
1 Cast Bali Style Bail
1 Bead Aligner
Step 19. Repeat Step 18 twice.
Step 20. String the following:
One 6mm Malachite
1 Bali Beaded Spacer
One 6mm New China Jade
1 Bali Beaded Spacer
One 6mm Malachite
1 Bali Beaded Spacer
One 6mm New China Jade
1 Bali Beaded Spacer
One 6mm Malachite
Step 21. String the end of the Soft Flex through 1 Crimp Bead, then through the loop of one end of the Toggle and then back through the Crimp Bead. Snug up Crimp Bead to Toggle. Crush Crimp Bead with Crimping Pliers and trim the end.
Step 22. Repeat Step 21 with the other end of the Soft Flex and the other end of the Toggle Clasp.
Now we will attach the Head Pins to the Cast Bali Style Bails…
Step 23. Onto the loop hanging off the middle Bail in the bracelet, place the following in the order that they are listed:
-the open loop from a Head Pin B
-the open loop from a Head Pin E
-the open loop from a Head Pin D
-the open loop from a Head Pin E
-the open loop from a Head Pin B
Close the open loop of the above Head Pins tightly so there are no gaps.
Step 24. Onto the loop hanging off one of the remaining Bails (on either side of the Bail in the middle) in the bracelet, place the following in the order that they are listed:
-the open loop from a Head Pin A
-the open loop from a Head Pin C
-the open loop from a Head Pin D
-the open loop from a Head Pin C
-the open loop from a Head Pin A
Close the open loop of the above Head Pins tightly so there are no gaps.
Step 25. Repeat Step 24 with the last Bail on your bracelet. Enjoy!
