Plum Raisin Necklace
Our rainbow jasper gemstone beads blend nicely together with copper beads, while the amethyst pearls and purple pony beads provide a great contrast. The focal point of this necklace is a rainbow jasper oval decorated with one of our vintage pieces, which is jazzed up with some flat back crystals in amethyst. The finished length of this necklace is approximately 17” and the pendant hangs about 1 ½” down.

Directions:
Note: As with any natural stone, the colors of the gemstones may slightly vary. Do not worry if the colors of your gemstones are not exactly as they appear in the picture. They will still match nicely.

Step 1. Cut appoximately 25” of Soft Flex.

Step 2. String the strand of Soft Flex through a Crimp Bead, through the loop of one end of the Clasp and back down through the Crimp Bead. Crush the Crimp and trim the excess Soft Flex. Set aside.

Step 3. Take your Vintage Filigree Diamond piece and place it over top of one of the Large Rainbow Jasper Puff Oval Gemstones to give yourself an idea of how much of the Vintage piece that you will be bending around the Gemstone. Begin to slightly bend the 4 points of the Vintage piece around the Gemstone. This will give the Vintage piece a look of being wrapped around the Gemstone or of the Gemstone being set in the Vintage piece. (Note: it is easier to bend points of the Vintage piece on a table or other flat surface, continually placing it over the Gemstone while doing so, until the fit is just right).

Step 4. Once your Vintage piece is bent appropriately, you will want to glue your Flat Back Crystals to it. Using the Zap-A-Gap and Tweezers, glue the 3 Flat Back Crystals onto the Vintage Filigree, according to the picture. Let the glue dry.

Step 5. Using small dots of Zap-A-Gap, glue the Vintage piece to the Large Rainbow Jasper Puff Oval Gemstone, making sure to align the 2 farthest points of the Vintage piece over the holes of the Gemstone. (You will be stringing your Soft Flex through the spaces at those points, as well as, through the hole of the Gemstone). Set aside.

Step 6. Onto your strand of Soft Flex, string the following:

1 Bronze Pearl
1 Pony Bead
1 Amethyst Pearl

Step 7. Repeat Step 6 twice.

Step 8. String the following:

1 Amethyst Pearl
1 Copper Diamond Bead
1 Amethyst Pearl
1 Bronze Pearl
1 Small Rainbow Jasper Puff Oval Gemstone
1 Bronze Pearl
1 Amethyst Pearl
1 Bronze Pearl
1 Coppper Diamond Bead
1 Bronze Pearl
1 Amethyst Pearl

Step 9. String your Soft Flex down through the hole of the Large Rainbow Jasper Puff Oval. (Note: the Soft Flex should also be going through the end points of the Vintage piece that are wrapped around the Gemstone at its hole) Bring the Soft Flex around the point of the Vintage piece at the bottom of the Gemstone, and back up through the hole of the Gemstone.

Step 10. String the following:

Step 11. Repeat Step 6 twice.

Step 12. String 1 Pony Bead, 1 Bronze Pearl and 1 Pony Bead.

Step 13. Repeat Step 2 with the other end of the Toggle Clasp.
