Vintage Dragonfly Necklace
Vintage brass findings and charms just inspire me. Mixed with our Vintage chain are beautiful Red Tiger Eye puff rectangles and Indicolite Swarovski bicone crystals. The finishing touch is a Vintage dragonfly connector with a crystal ending. To save you some money, we'll be making eye pins out of the extra head pins you have. The finished length of this necklace is 30 inches, including the 1 1/4 inch Dragonfly Charm.

Materials:

Tools you will need (change quantity to 1 if you need them):

Directions:
Step 1. Cut 2 pieces of your Vintage Brass Oval Chain, each measuring 44 links in length (about 9 inches).

Step 2. Cut 4 pieces of Chain, each measuring 3 links in length.

Step 3. Cut one piece of Chain measuring 7 links in length.

Step 4. Take 6 Tiger Eyes and slide an Eye Pin into each.

Step 5. Take one of your 9-inch-pieces of chain. Cut off the head of an eye pin and make a loop on one end. Take one Tiger Eye, put it on your eye pin and make a loop on the straight end of the Eye Pin using Flat and Round Tip Pliers and Side Cutters to trim excess. Thread through one end of the Chain and use Pliers to squeeze the Eye Pin closed.

Step 6. Take one of the pieces of Chain measuring 3 links in length and attach to the other end of the Tiger Eye by gently opening the Eye Pin, hooking the chain and then squeezing the Eye Pin closed.

Step 7. Link together the following with the same process (in order):
One Tiger Eye
One piece 3-link chain
One Tiger Eye
One piece 7-link chain
One Tiger Eye
One piece 3-link chain
One Tiger Eye
One piece 3-link chain
One Tiger Eye
One piece 9-inch chain

Step 8. Take 15 Crystals and slide a Head Pin into each. Form loops on the straight ends of each Pin, trimming excess with Side Cutters and leaving loops slightly open.

Step 9. On the second link above the Tiger Eye closest to one end of your chain, loop 2 Crystals, one per side of link. Repeat on other side of necklace.

Step 10. From this point, count one link, one Tiger Eye, one link, and add 2 more Crystals to subsequent link in the same manner as Step 9. Repeat on opposite side of necklace.

Step 11. Repeat Step 10.

Step 12. Take Dragonfly Charm and cut 2 links from any of your excess Chain. Add one link to the top and one to the bottom of the Dragonfly Charm using Pliers.

Step 13. Take remaining 3 Crystals with Head Pins and loop them to the link on the bottom of the Dragonfly Charm.

Step 14. Attach the top link of the Dragonfly Charm to the center of your necklace (the 4th link on the 7-link piece of Chain).

Step 15. Attach the Lobster Clasp to one end of your necklace by gently prying the link open and closed with Pliers.
