Chalcedony Pendant Necklace
This simple pendant necklace really highlights the beauty and uniqueness of each of our Chalcedony gemstone druzies. Chalcedony varies from 35mm to 70mm and larger, but this necklace works with stones of any size! This is a great opportunity to get creative with your wire wrapping and is also a good place to start for beginners who want some practice. The Chalcedony is complimented by our lustrous Midnight Blue Pearls, creating a necklace that looks gorgeous with a V-neck sweater or turtleneck for autumn. The finished length of this necklace is approximately 17 inches. This does not include the drop length of the pendant, as they will vary in size.

Directions:
Step 1. Cut approximately 3 inches of Wire, depending on the size of your stone and the amount of elaboration desired in your wrapping. Thread Wire through the Chalcedony and wrap freely, creating a loop perpendicular to your pendant.

Step 2. String a 6mm Pearl onto an Eye Pin. Gently open the looped end of the Pin and hook onto the loop of Wire above the pendant. Close. Cut excess Pin, leaving approximately 3/8 of an inch above the Pearl. Create a tight loop perpendicular to the loop of the Pin by bending the Pin 90 degrees with Flat Nose Pliers and curling into a circle with Round Tip Pliers. Do not close just yet.

Step 3. Cut a length of Chain measuring five oval links long (discard any “figure eights” on the ends). Link the loop you just created onto the center oval of the chain and close.

Step 4. String an 8mm Pearl onto an Eye Pin. Gently open the looped end of the Eye Pin and hook onto one end of the Chain. Close. Cut excess Eye Pin, leaving approximately 3/8 of an inch above the Pearl. Create a tight loop and do not close just yet. Cut approximately 6 ½ inches of Chain (discarding any “figure eights” on the ends) and link loop through one end of the Chain. Close.

Step 5. Repeat Step 4 on the other side of the necklace.

Step 6. Gently open a Jump Ring and string either piece of the Toggle onto it. Loop the Jump Ring through one end of the necklace. Close.

Step 7. Repeat Step 6 on the other side, with the other piece of the Toggle.
