Water Lily Floating Bracelet
There’s nothing more serene and spring-like than a single lily pad floating on the surface of a pond. This bracelet utilizes the natural hues of aqua lampwork glass, olivine glass pearls, and vintage brass to create a unique and asymmetrical piece of jewelry perfect for any season. It’s also a great example of how to create a lily pad toggle clasp! The finished length of the bracelet is about 7.5 inches.

Directions:
Step 1. Create nine Olivine Pearl dangles. Take nine Head Pins and thread a Pearl onto each. Form a tight loop above each Pearl by bending the Head Pin 90 degrees with Flat Nose Pliers. Trim with Side Cutters to leave about 3/8 inch behind, then curl into a simple loop with Round Nose Pliers. Set these aside.
Step 2. Using Memory Wire Cutters, cut a piece of Chain about 13 links long. Gently twist open a Jump Ring with Flat Nose Pliers and thread it through one of the outer edges of the Lily Pad, then through one end of the Chain. Thread three of the Pearl dangles onto the Jump Ring before twisting it closed.
Step 3. Thread a Foil Rectangle onto an Eye Pin and form a simple loop above the Foil Rectangle, trimming any excess with Side Cutters. Open a Jump Ring and thread it through the unused end of Chain, then through the “eye” of this Eye Pin. Close the Jump Ring. Open another Jump Ring and thread it through the simple loop you just formed, then thread three Pearl dangles onto the Jump Ring. Thread another Foil Rectangle onto an Eye Pin and thread this “eye” onto the Jump Ring before twisting it closed.
Step 4. Form a simple loop above this Foil Rectangle the same way as in Step 3. Open a Jump Ring and thread it through the simple loop, then thread three Pearl dangles onto it. Thread a third Foil Rectangle onto an Eye Pin and string the Jump Ring through this “eye” before closing it. Form a simple loop above this Foil Rectangle.
Step 5. Thread the Swirl Bar onto a Head Pin, with the decorated side facing the “head.” About 1-2mm above the Bar, form a simple loop and trim any excess with Side Cutters. Before closing the loop, thread it through the last loop above the Foil Rectangle. Close the loop. Enjoy!
