Silver Nocturne Necklace
Sodalite Puff Coin beads are the star of this simple yet elegant asymmetrical necklace. Directions:
Step 1. Cut six pieces of Chain at the following lengths using Memory Wire Cutters: 1.25 inches (about six links), 2.75 inches, 6 inches, 7 inches, 8 inches, and 10 inches. Set aside.
Step 2. Thread a Sodalite Coin onto an Eye Pin. Form a simple loop above it by bending the Eye Pin 90 degrees with Flat Nose Pliers, then trim with Side Cutters to leave about 3/8” behind. Curl this into a tight loop with Round Nose Pliers. Repeat this three more times with three more Sodalite Coins and Eye Pins.
Step 3. Gently twist open a Jump Ring with Flat Nose Pliers and thread it through one piece of the Toggle Clasp, then through one of the end links of the 8 inch piece of Chain. Twist the Jump Ring closed. Twist open another one and string it through the other end of that piece of Chain, then through a loop on one side of a Sodalite Coin. Using Jump Rings, finish the first strand of the necklace by connecting the 6-link piece of Chain to the other side of the Sodalite Coin, another Sodalite Coin on the other end of the 6-link piece, then the 7 inch piece of Chain to the other side of the Sodalite Coin. Connect this piece to the other half of the Toggle Clasp.
Step 4. Twist open a Jump Ring and thread it through the end link of the 6 inch piece of Chain, then through the same Toggle piece you started with in Step 3. Follow the same pattern as in Step 3 (starting on the same side), connecting a Sodalite Coin to the 6 inch piece, then the 2.75 inch piece of Chain, a Sodalite Coin, and the 10 inch piece. Connect this to the Toggle with a Jump Ring. Enjoy! |
