Directions:
Step 1. Cut your Leather strand to measure approximately 27 inches. If you wish to have a longer necklace, you do not have to cut the leather.
Step 2. Fold the Leather strand in half. Slide the looped section through the hole of the Donut. Take the opposite end of the Leather stand and slide through the Leather loop to form a lark's head knot. Pull the ends up tightly to secure the Donut in place.
Step 3. Twist open a 6mm Jump Ring with Flat Nose Pliers. Slide one Aqua Dagger onto it. Repeat this two more times.
Step 4. Attach the Dagger dangles you made in the above step to the Leather loop above the Donut. Twist the Jump Rings closed.
Step 5. Form a tight knot on your Leather approximately 1 inch from the center. Take an Eye Pin and thread a Howlite Coin onto it. Form a simple loop above it by bending the Eye Pin 90 degrees with Flat Nose Pliers, then trim with Side Cutters to leave about 3/8in behind. Curl this into a tight loop with Round Nose Pliers.
Step 6. Take two 4mm Jump Rings and twist them open. Thread one through the top loop of the Eye Pin from the last step and twist closed. Slide onto your Leather strand so that it settles above the first knot. Take the other Jump Ring and slide through the bottom loop of the Eye Pin. Before twisting closed, thread on an Aqua Dagger.
Step 7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 two more times, working your way up the leather strand. Then tie another knot approximately 1 inch from the last knot.
Step 8. Take a Pinch End and start squeezing each point slightly closed with Flat Nose Pliers. Leave some space to insert the end of the Leather strand. Continue squeezing each point of the Pinch End until Leather is secure. Take a 6mm Jump Ring and pry it open. Slide it through the loop on the Pinch End and through the loop on one part of your Clasp. Twist closed.
Step 9. Repeat steps 5 through 8 with the other piece of your Clasp. To finish off the piece, pry open two 6mm Jump Rings. Slide one through the Jump Ring used to attach your Clasp, twist closed. Take the other and slide an Aqua Dagger onto it then through the Jump Ring above it. Twist closed. Enjoy! |
