Sea Treasures Earrings
With summer in full swing, we can’t help but be inspired by natural sea life. For this dangling pair of earrings we used our Vintage Brass Sand Dollar and Starfish Charms. A sprinkling of shimmer was added using Air Blue Opal, Capri Blue and Sand Opal Swarovski Crystals. These earrings can be adored even after the summer has passed. They measure approximately 4 ½ inches long but can always be shortened by cutting the chain.

Tools and glue you will need (change quantity to 1 if you need them):

Directions:
Step 1. Cut two pieces of Chain to measure approximately 20 links in length each or 2 inches. You can choose a shorter length if you do not want your earrings to hang too long.

Step 2. Slide one end of Chain onto one of your Ear Wires. Gently squeeze the loop of the Ear Wire closed with Flat Nose Pliers.

Step 3. Twist open a Jump Ring and slide the large Starfish and Tiny Sand Dollar Charm onto it. Before closing, thread the Jump Ring through the 4th link of the Chain below the Ear Wire, and twist the Jump Ring closed. Twist open another Jump Ring and slide the large Sand Dollar and Tiny Starfish onto it. Before closing, thread this Jump Ring through the very bottom link on your Chain. Twist the Jump Ring closed.

Step 4. Make your dangles. Take 4 Head Pins and string one Air Blue Opal onto each, then one Capri Blue Crystal onto each of 4 more Head Pins. Take one of these Head Pins and form a simple loop above the Crystal by bending the Head Pin 90 degrees with Flat Nose Pliers and trimming the excess with Side Cutters to leave 3/8 inch behind. Curl into a tight loop with Round Nose Pliers. Repeat this 7 more times with the other Head Pins.

Step 5. Twist open a Jump Ring and slide an Air Blue Opal and Capri Blue Crystal (from the above step) onto it. Repeat this three more times. Before closing the Jump Rings, slide one through the very top link on your Chain. Slide the next one on the 3rd link of your Chain. Continue on and slide the next one on the 18th link and then the 19th link.

Step 6. Thread a Sand Opal Crystal onto a Head Pin. Repeat this 2 more times and form a simple loop above each without closing completely. Take one of these Head Pins and slide it through one of the bottom holes in the large Sand Dollar Charm. Repeat on the other side. Take your last Head Pin and slide that through the bottom hole on the tiny Sand Dollar Charm. Close all of these loops with Flat Nose Pliers.

Step 7. Repeat Steps 2-6 to complete your other earring. Enjoy!
