Vineyard Drop Bracelet
Hemp isn't just for macrame projects, you can also use it as a soft and subtle stringing material.   I used olive and capri fire polished crystals and amethyst crystals from Preciosa.  The gold sparkles come from the head pins and the crimp beads that go all around the hemp.  I love this combination of cool colors that will take you into fall and hope you do too! The bracelet measures 7.75 inches including the clasp.  -Carolyn, owner of eebeads.com

Directions:
To get the kinks out of your hemp when you take it off the card, hang a long piece over a door knob for a couple days with a weight at the end.  I used a couple of chip clips to weigh it down.

Step 1. Cut 5 pieces of Brown Hemp each measuring approximately 6 ½ inches in length. Set aside.

Step 2. Onto 20 separate Head Pins string one Amethyst Bicone. Onto 20 separate Head Pins string one Olive/Capri Crystal. Form a simple loop above each bead by bending the Head Pin 90 degrees with Flat Nose Pliers. Trim excess with Side Cutters to leave about 3/8 inch behind, then curl this into a loop with Round Nose Pliers. To ensure that your dangles do not slide over the Crimp Beads, make the loop as small and tight as you can. Set aside.

Step 3. Take one piece of Hemp and string one Crimp Bead, one Olivine Round, one Crimp, one Amethyst Bicone, one Crimp, one Olivine Round, one Crimp, one Amethyst Bicone, one Crimp, one Olivine Round, one Crimp, one Amethyst Bicone, one Crimp, one Olivine Round, one Crimp, one Amethyst Bicone and one Crimp. Repeat this sequence again using the other two strands.

Step 4. Center one Crimp Bead onto a strand and crush it with Crimping Pliers. Space Crimp Beads approximately ½ inch from each other for each grouping and crush them with Crimping Pliers when in desired position. Ideally you should end with approximately ¾ inches to 1 inch of space on each end of the strings.

Step 5. Take one piece of Hemp and string one Crimp, one Amethyst Bicone, one Crimp, one Olivine Round, one Crimp, one Amethyst Bicone, one Crimp, one Olivine Round, one Crimp, one Amethyst Bicone, one Crimp, one Olivine Round, one Crimp, one Amethyst Bicone, one Crimp, one Olivine Round and one Crimp. Repeat this sequence one more time.

Step 6. Repeat step 4.

Step 7. Insert the ends of five strands of Hemp into a Pinch End. With Flat Nose Pliers, squeeze the Pinch End prongs until strings are tightly secured. An optional step for more holding power, would be to use a dab of adhesive such as Zap-A-Gap, inside of the Pinch End. Repeat this on the opposite side.

Step 8. Twist open a Jump Ring and slide it through the loop on a Pinch End and then through the loop on one part of the Clasp. Twist the Jump Ring closed. Repeat on the opposite side to complete the bracelet. Enjoy!
