Float Like a Feather Necklace
I have wanted to create a simple necklace using our Vintage Feather Filigree since we got them in a few months back. An eye-catching dangle was added in the front and back using our Vintage Brass Small Oval Cable Chain. A Scroll Connector and Thin Hammered Ring creates the clasp. For the slightest touch of color, I used Green Iris Pony Beads. This is one you can wear all day, everyday with a finished length of 19 inches, including the clasp. The front dangle measures approximately 3 inches and the back approximately 5 inches. -Brandi, Customer Service

Directions:
Step 1. Separate two pieces of Chain by opening the links to measure 8 inches each. Twist open two Jump Rings and slide one through each end of Chain. Before twisting closed, slide one through the top loop of the Filigree Feather and then one through a curved opening.
Step 2. Twist open two more Jump Rings and slide one through each end of the Chain. Before twisting closed, slide one through the Hammered Ring and one through the center loops of the Scroll Connector. This creates your clasp.
Step 3. Create dangles: Onto six separate Head Pins, slide a single Pony Bead onto each. Form a simple loop above each Pony Bead by bending the wire 90 degrees with Flat Nose Pliers. Trim the excess wire with Side Cutters to leave 3/8 inch behind, then curl this into a tight loop with Round Nose Pliers. Set aside.
Step 4. Cut a piece of Chain measuring three inches in length. Twist open a Jump Ring and slide it through the end link of the Chain and through the short curved opening on the Feather Filigree. Twist the Jump Ring closed. On the opposite end, attach three of the Pony dangles from step 3 using the bottom three links.
Step 5. Cut a piece of Chain measuring approximately 4 ½ inches. Twist open a Jump Ring and slide it through the end link of Chain and through the Hammered Ring. Twist the Jump Ring closed. On the opposite end, attach three of the Pony dangles from step 3 using the bottom three links. Enjoy! |
