Burnished Brass Necklace
This week I let our Vintage Feather Filigree inspire my warm toned design. The Burnished Brass Necklace combines our Smoke Topaz Druks, African Brass Bicones, and Black Glass Round Beads. The Feather and Vintage Oval Chain are incorporated asymmetrically to create a unique look. The finished length, include clasp, measures approximately 20 ½ inches. – Kara, Customer Service

Materials:

Directions:
Step 1. Cut two pieces of Vintage Medium Oval Chain, one measuring 3 ½ inches and the other measuring 4 ½ inches. Set Aside.

Step 2. Cut 2 pieces of Soft Flex, one measuring approximately 6 inches and the other approximately 12 inches.

Step 3. Onto the shorter piece of Soft Flex, string one Crimp Bead and slide it through the top hole of the Vintage Feather Filigree, leaving about 1½ inches of Soft Flex to pass back through the Crimp Bead. Crush the Crimp using Crimping Pliers and trim any excess Soft Flex with Side Cutters.

Step 4. Onto the shorter strand, string one Black Round, one Brass Bicone, one Black Round, three Topaz Druks, one Black Round, one Brass Bicone, and one Black Round. Finish the strand by sliding on one Crimp Bead and one Vintage Jump Ring, leaving about 1½ inches of Soft Flex to pass back through the Crimp Bead. Crush the Crimp using Crimping Pliers and trim any excess Soft Flex with Side Cutters.

Step 5. Repeat Step 3 with the longer piece of Soft Flex, sliding it through the bottom opening of the Vintage Feather Filigree.

Step 6. Onto the longer strand, string one Black Round, one Brass Bicone, one Black Round, three Topaz Druks, 4 Black Rounds, one Brass Bicone, and 4 Black Rounds. Continue by stringing three Topaz Druks, one Black Round, one Brass Bicone, one Black Round, and repeat this sequence 2 more times, ending with one Black Round. Finish the strand using the same method as used in Step 4.

Step 6. Twist open the Jump Ring on the shorter strand of beads and slide it through the link on the end of the shorter piece of Vintage Chain. Twist the Jump Ring closed. Repeat with the longer piece of Vintage Chain, attaching it to the end of the longer strand of beads.

Step 7: Twist open one Jump Ring and slide it through the opposite end of the longer chain and through the loop on the end of the Vintage Lobster Clasp. Twist the Jump Ring closed. Enjoy!
